As many of you remember, last year I fought against the Public Utilities Commission and Blackhills for their unjust utility rate increases. I continue this fight today with my call to action to renew the Office of Consumer Council.
The Office of Consumer Council is due to sunset in 2016, and as a member of the Senate Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Energy Committee I heard testimony in favor of renewing the agency on January 22 to continue advocating for consumers.
Unfortunately, no bill has been brought forward. Please click HERE to see the letter I sent to the committee chairman urging our committee to renew this vital agency so they may continue advocating for rate-payers.
